Hebrews 11:17-19 New Living Translation
17 It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, 18 even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” 19 Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.
Prayer
Almighty God, whose mercy meets us fresh each morning, grant that on this new day we may walk in the light of Your presence. Strengthen our faith, steady our steps, and guide our hearts toward what is good and true. As You sustained Your people in every generation, sustain us now— that in all we do, we may honor You and serve our neighbor with grace. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Interested in Visiting Noah’s Ark & the Creation Museum: We are exploring a church trip to Kentucky on the weekend of September 11–13 to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. The plan is to drive down on Friday evening, visit both attractions on Saturday, and return either Saturday night or early Sunday morning in time for worship.
